What is the lead time for custom fine jewelry?

Lead time varies depending on the time of year, if we are starting from scratch or using an existing mount design, etc. The fastest lead time for custom projects is 4 weeks.

Can I use my own stones and/or metal in a custom?

Yes! We frequently take on heirloom redesign projects where customer stones and metal get used in the new design. As long as your stone is not too soft or damaged we are able to use it. We are also able to use your own metal as long as it is clean of solder.

Do You Offer Lab Grown or Mined Diamonds?

We are able to source practically any stone your heart desires. This includes both lab grown and mined diamonds, as well as moissanite and other natural and manmade precious gemstones.

For the sake of consistent pricing, our made-to-order listings will always use lab grown melee diamond accents. If you would like mined melee diamonds instead, simply email Samantha to start your custom project!

What is Moissanite?

Moissanite is a diamond alternative that is created in a lab. Diamonds are rated a 10 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, and moissanite is rated a 9.25, making it very durable and great for everyday wear. Moissanite has a beautiful sparkle, is generally a more affordable option than diamonds, and is available in virtually every cut that you can find a diamond in.

Does Eleanor Finn Create Rings for LGBTQ+ couples?

Of course! All jewelry lovers are welcome to reach out and start the custom process. We are happy to create the perfect piece for ANY human♡

How do I Get My or My Partner's Ring Size?

Most jewelry stores will size anyone for free (including Dime & Regal in Grand Rapids!). If you are buying for your partner and you're trying to be more secretive, you have a few options: ask their friends, secretly borrow one of their rings and bring it to a jeweler to get the size, or bring in a tracing of the inside and outside of their ring to try and get an accurate size. If you're a bit off that's totally okay! The first resize on our rings is always complimentary.

Is Nora Finn Jewelry hypoallergenic?

Nora Finn Jewelry is hypoallergenic. We only use sterling silver and gold filled metals, making our jewelry 100% lead and nickel free.

What does "gold filled" mean?

"Gold filled" means the jewelry has 100x more gold than gold plated jewelry. Due to the thickness and durability of the outer gold layer, the longevity of your jewelry is significantly increased compared to gold plated or gold vermeil jewelry.
